The selection process consists of several successive steps:
1. Responding to a job
The candidate responds to a specific job (or several positions at the same time) via our website or one of the job portals, by sending his CV in Slovak or English.
2. Selection of CV´s
Each CV received is going through assessment with regard to the requirements of the job. Selected candidates who meet the criteria are then contacted to arrange a job interview. If a specific level of knowledge of a foreign language is required, the candidate will also have a telephone conversation in the appropriate language, the mastery of which is a precondition for inviting to a job interview.
3. Face to face job interview at GWR
The job interview is a key part of the selection process. GWR favors personal interviews, as it is important for us to get to know the candidate thoroughly so that we can adequately assess his or her prerequisites for the job, as well as his ability to identify with the company culture and working environment of the company that occupies the work position. The advantage of a job interview at a recruitment company is that the candidate receives valuable information and feedback from experienced recruitment specialists. This enables him to adjust his presentation and prepare more effectively for a personal interview with a potential employer. In any case, the candidate should not underestimate the preparation for the job interview - therefore, this topic is discussed in more details in the section entitled “Preparing for the Job Interview”.
4. Recommendation process
Selected candidates who have successfully passed the job interview at a recruitment company are recommended for a working meeting with the employer. This recommendation is in the form of a so-called the evaluation form and is completed by an experienced recruitment specialist interviewed by the candidate. The evaluation form, together with the curriculum vitae, is forwarded to the employer concerned. The representative of the personnel - consulting company and the candidate always agree on this step in advance and everything is done with the consent and knowledge of the candidate.
5. Selection of CVs by the employer
The HR specialist on the part of the employer will select the CVs and recommendations he has received from the recruitment company. Based on this selection, it will select candidates who will be invited to a personal interview directly with the employer's representatives.
6. 'Face to face' job interview with the employer
The job interview with the employer may have one or more rounds (depending on the complexity of the position). In most cases, the first round will determine whether or not the candidate succeeds. This decision is made by the HR department in cooperation with the head of the department who occupies the work position.
7. Job offer
A successful candidate receives a job offer, which is usually communicated to him by his personal consultant who recommended him. As a rule, the job offer contains information on the job position, date of commencement and the amount of the salary (gross). The candidate should announce his position on the job offer within a few days, ideally as soon as possible.
8. Commencement of employment
In a case of acceptance of a job offer, the candidate becomes the employee of the company on the day of taking up the job. Upon commencement of employment, our mission has been successfully completed and from that moment on, all the requirements concerning the employee have the competence of his new employer.
